For the first time ever, my school is offering a young adult literature class, and we need updated books to keep these readers going strong. I hope to offer titles including classics like The Chocolate War and Go Ask Alice; historical fiction like Blood Water Paint and Chariot on the Mountain; realistic fiction like Looking for Alaska and Will Grayson, Will Grayson and sci-fi like House of the Scorpion and Unwind. What better way to keep young adults engaged than with the gift of story? By contributing to the course's library, you will give young adults the opportunity to explore, to laugh, to cry, to travel all without having to leave the classroom. I want to make this course one that opens up new worlds to students who may not ever get the chance to leave our city.
