In first grade learning to read is our biggest and most exciting job. Early readers can't just pick up any book at a library and have it be helpful in their goal of reading. It is most helpful to have a book at their "just right" level. We have a leveled Read At Home Library that allows students to check out books at their level to read to their families. Our Read At Home Library helps promote reading and family involvement. Students love showing off their current skills. Families love having this resource to help their students. Our current library has books that are way past their use. Most are torn or taped. They have been well used and well loved. We want to keep this awesome resource going. We want to promote family involvement and the love of reading.
