It is so important that students develop a passion for reading! I don't care what language my students are reading in as long as they are building literacy skills, knowledge, and fluency. To develop a passion, students need to feel confident AND interested in what they choose to read. By contributing to this project, you will be helping English Language Learners develop their reading skills and build English vocabulary in a fun way. So often my see these amazing book series that are in my cart in the library, but cannot yet access or enjoy them because they are in English. The English books that I have selected will interest students and help them as they begin their journey of reading fluently in English. These will contribute as read alouds within my instruction as well.
