I plan to use my rug as a gathering place for morning meeting and also for students to work with their assigned partners throughput the day. Most of the kindergarten day is spent in circle time, working in small groups, and with partners. I want students to have a clean, bright, and colorful rug that will enhance their classroom learning. A new rug will give students a place to learn and develop social skills. Right now, the students will be using a very old rug that is starting to come apart. Several of my coworkers received new rugs from Donors Choose last year and I want my students to be given the same opportunity to have a brand new rug to be proud of as well.
