The students that enter my classroom each fall come from a diversely populated area. Most of the students have never been in a classroom setting before. By having wobble stools and stability balls, the students will be able to find a more comfortable seat in the classroom other than being confined to a chair and table. Giving the students a choice in where they sit, will help students become self aware. They will learn what seating options and environments they work best in. As an added benefit, the seating options will work on student balance and gross motor skills while in the classroom.
