The resources included in my project will help to foster an excellent start to the upcoming school year. Because many of the students I teach are underprivileged, even these basic neccesities are often a challenge to provide every student over the course of the school year. In a middle school reading classroom such as mine, students often need tools such as highlighters to underline text details and vocabulary words. In addition, our interactive notebooks often include activities in which cutting and pasting graphic organizers and other resourceful tools are needed. Finally, students in my classroom are seated in groups where tools such as staplers, will help with completing assignments and turning them in efficiently.
