My students are eager to learn and seize each and every opportunity extended to them. What may be taken for granted at other schools elicits overwhelming displays of excitement from my students. They appreciate all they have because they are acutely aware that the adults in their lives work hard to provide it for them, including their parents, teachers, school administration, and the community at large. We all put in extra hours to ensure that our kids have access to as many of the same resources and experiences as students at better-funded schools.
