We are the Meiner's Oaks Mountain Lions and ready to ROAR! I am so lucky to be at a new school this year and teach my favorite grade- Kindergarten! We are also proud to be the Ojai Valley's ONLY Green Ribbon School! "Green Ribbon schools are leading the way in resource conservation, health and wellness, and environmental literacy." One of the ways to provide effective environmental education is through technology. Many of my mountain lion cubs come to school with little to no academic use of technology. Our district mandated curriculum is technology based and students are eager to learn through technology! Although my students are just beginning their educational careers, they are among a generation where technology will be the basis of their learning. My students come from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are a Title I school and many of my students are English Language Learners.
