Right now, I have 4 computers for 125 students. Our school uses many digital resources in all aspects of learning, but we do not have the technological access needed to let students fully take advantage of those resources. Currently students get access to computers one day a week, if they are lucky. Students can also access this information at home; however, most do not have computers. For example, most students do not know how to type, and that's is why it takes them so long to complete tests. I have signed them up for free typing lessons online, but again, not everyone can use that everyday. We have excellent educational lessons and information available. These students know that it is important for them to use these resources. We need these Chromebooks, so that more students can access these resources on a daily basis. I also plan to use these Chromebooks during centers and for virtual field trips to let students visit places they may never get to see in their life time, due to financial hardship. I know that adding just these 5 Chromebooks will do wonders for the amazing educational adventures that my students can take. Please help me with this project and make the future of the country get the opportunities to grow with technology rather than fall behind.
