The carpet area in our classroom is well used and loved each day. We start our day with a Morning Meeting time on the carpet. We share news for the day, activities from the night before, celebrations, upcoming activities, goals for the day, etc. Throughout the day as a class, it is used as a meeting area for story time, calendar time, sharing, mini lessons, etc. When not being used as a whole class, students use it for small group, partner and individual activities such as games, reading, and sharing. At the end of the day, we meet here again to review our day and celebrate things that happened. As you can see, this is an important place in our classroom. Any support that you are able to provide is greatly appreciated!
