We are a year round school and will be in session during the Solar eclipse that is taking place in Oregon this August 21st. We will be talking about this event when our school year starts on July 21st and have several in-classroom activities that build up to the actual event. On the day of the event we will gather together and have a viewing party for the whole school. The glasses are obviously a necessity in order for the children to be able to safely view the eclipse. We will talk about why the glasses are needed, and when the eclipse concludes, we will have follow-up activities for the students to write and draw about.
