Starting children with a love of reading at an early age is an essential part of their future education. My children love to have books read to them and then re-tell the story using props. By providing my children with new books and storytelling props they will be able to understand that the text is meaningful and can be read. My project objective for language and literacy is to help my children develop a love for reading at a young age. This will help to develop language skills to encourage success in their future education. The new books and story telling props will allow the children to explore and go on adventures. The books and authors I have chosen will help develop and enhance their language skills. The storytelling kits will help my children bring the stories alive.
