A light table will add a new dimension to building, creating, and pretending. Excitement will build as children interact with one another building a house or maybe creating a zoo for their animals. During our theme of "Our Community", children can recreate the community in which they live or maybe build an exciting new town where the sun shines blue, using the light changing colors of the table. As they manipulate pieces on the table, children will work on social skills, fine motor skills, and creativity. Adding a light table with manipulatives will also provide another Center Area where children can choose to work each day.
