My colleagues were recently talking about this amazing resource they will be using in her classroom next school year and once I saw the samples I fell in love! My students need this exciting, high-interest reading magazine to make them look forward to reading. Every other month students will receive a 32 page full-color magazine that includes a variety of genres to read, including poetry, drama, non-fiction current events, and much more. Storyworks magazines will allow me to supplement my everyday reading curriculum with high-interest, engaging reading materials that can be differentiated to meet the needs of all of my students. These magazines are a fun and engaging resource I can use to teach grammar, vocabulary, and close reading. They also provide online differentiated reading levels, how cool is that? Not only will I be able to target a variety of fundamental reading skills and meet our state standards throughout each issue, I will also be able to incorporate technology into my reading instruction through the provided video & audio links, and interactive games. This implementation of technology will help students become even more engaged in the lesson, as well as provide background information on topics they may not now about. Please help us get this amazing instructional tool!
