Flexible seating will allow my students to take charge of their learning by giving them a choice as to what supports them best. Flexible seating such as the Kore Grow-with-Me wobble chairs, balance balls, and flex space comfy floor seats will allow my students to rock, wobble, bounce, lean, or stand which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. In turn, this keeps young minds more alert and focused. Physical activity in the classroom has led to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior. I want to create a more student controlled environment that will help improve student engagement and allow students to feel a sense of ownership that will help them to invest in their own education.
