Flexible seating helps to motivate students and helps to create a fun learning environment. It gives the students the freedom to move around and be comfortable to maximize their learning and retention. This also helps to give students a little wiggle room. Recess time is very limited in our building and that can cause students to be antsy and lead to behavioral issues. Students can sit around the room comfortably while reading to increase comprehension. Flexible seating can also be used as a motivational tool. Flexible seating gives students a sense of pride and when they feel good they put forth more effort.
