The use of these tablets will be a daily activity in my classroom in both math and language arts. With the increasing number of students in my school and state testing on laptops, the technology focus at my school is on the upper grades. By having these tablets, my students will be able to improve their math and language arts skills through educational games. All of the students, especially my English language learners will benefit from being able to listen to stories read to them. In a classroom where my students speak a variety of languages, from English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Farsi, Tegulu, to Korean, Spanish or Tagalog, technological programs to help them improve their language skills are beneficial. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student academic achievement, you will ultimately give some students the opportunity to use technology. Students will be able to review, practice, and reinforce concepts at their own pace. Plus in this technology literate world, any opportunity to use technology will increase their desire to learn.
