Students enter my classroom daily without any materials provided by parents or anyone at home. I am asking for assistance in providing these daily, simple supplies for my students. As I have been doing this alone, out of my own pocket for years. My students are from an ethnically diverse, poverty-stricken population. I teach special education which is a challenge in itself but, you add the inability for students to obtain the simple supplies they need and we are all in trouble. My classroom is complete with ethnic diversity, financial background gaps, and many levels of academic and diagnosed behaviors. My students are autistic, learning disabled, vision & hearing disabled, etc. We are all in one class and when the lack of supplies is added, we have a rough road without pencils.
