My students are amazing to say the least. lakeside and it's student is the heart of the community. We are a Title 1 school found in the Brookland District of Henrico County. My students come from diverse backgrounds which include varying personalities, academic abilities and social/emotional characters. Yet they come to school every day, trusting me to guide them through their difficulties and celebrate their successes. Within our classroom we cultivate a community of love and respect for all. I teach my students that we are a family and although we may fuss and fight we work together to create a growth mindset. We love and encourage each other to put our best foot forward by being a leader and not a boss.
