Without having to go to the library, my students will be able to seek information from a variety of books quickly accessed in the classroom. Because these will be grouped as "source kits", they will have access to several books on a singular topic; therefore, giving them the power of choice. Sparking curiosity and giving them choices within a topic will have them saying, "Tell me more!" In 4th grade, social studies will be project-driven. Students will be doing much more research and presenting finished products according to their particular learning style. Having these "source kits" will allow group projects, as well.
