If my class were to be gifted with (5) Amazon Fire HD8 tablets and (5) sets of headphones, review games and fluency practice could be catapulted to an all new, fun and engaging level. My students will be able to work in collaborative groups to play content tailored review games in various tech formats with the addition of tablets. I would LOVE for my class to experience a KABOOM! review quiz game as a whole class, and small group experience. This would be a super engaging way to review material before quizzes and tests. Kaboom! quizzes are teacher made, and can be projected on a smart board. Student groups take turns using the tablet to answer review questions with their teammates in certain amount of time. By having a tablet for each table group, all students will be able to participate in this super fun review game.
In addition to the tablets, the headphones will also allow individual students to check out tablets and headphones and personally work on fluency exercises and play curriculum-based games to further propel their number sense, fact fluency, as well as strategy building practices.
