My students would benefit from having seating options in the classroom. Flexible seating creates a more student-centered classroom environment. This environment also allows movement within the classroom. Studies have shown that students who are able to have short bursts of activity spend more time on task. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel safe to learn and make mistakes. I would also love to create an environment where students are engaged and having fun. Students spend so much time in the classroom I want them to be comfortable and have options on where they prefer to sit. Some of these options include exercise balls, rugs, bean bags chairs, and wobble chairs.
