My students are currently creating a music program based around the book, "The Day the Crayons Quit." Each color crayon has a song that goes along with it, and students are dancing, drumming, and accompanying their singing on xylophones. This music program is student-led and student created. We have taken their ideas and visions and ran with them! Unfortunately though, we don't have all the resources to make their ideas come to life. Our program begins with a song about rainbows, and my students have suggested that each person should have a scarf to wave when they hear their color in the song. A rainbow will be created on stage by doing this. We need about 120 different color scarves in order for this to happen! Please help me show my students that we CAN make their ideas and visions happen!
