I am focused on making my classroom more student centered and one way to do that is to have different seating options with beanbags, stools, and pillows. The classroom should be our room not just my room. Sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day is hard for anyone, especially children. It's hard to concentrate and work if you are uncomfortable and need to move a lot. By having flexible seating in the classroom my students will have the option to be comfortable and move their bodies. They will be able to move in the wiggle seats while they are learning. When choosing a seat, students have to pick a spot where they will be their best learning self. There will be less distractions in class because students won't have to move around the room to work off energy, they can do it right in their seat.
