Having an iPad readily available for my students in the therapy room will promote language development, decrease frustration, and support communication. I will be able to personalize different programs/apps for each one of my students. My students will have easy access to trial an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device, which could speed up the process of getting approved for their very own communication device. The communication apps I will use with my students will use symbols to promote language development, such as Proloquo2go, TouchChat, or Tobii Sono Flex. This is wonderful for my students who are mostly visual learners.
