Our district allows us the use of Google Classroom to facilitate learning. I have taken advantage of this by incorporating Classcraft into my lessons which my students seem to be more engaged in lessons. While some have access to Google Classroom on their phones or tablets, many cannot access Google Docs through either device. Having Chromebooks available in the classroom will allow all students a chance to use the formatting, revising, and editing features available with Google Docs. Our district has also recently adopted new novels to update and refresh an outdated list, but has not yet provided the books to our schools. My students have expressed an interest in reading one of those, Feed, as their independent Friday reading. I hope to make their access to more interesting novels in class a reality.
