Most of my teaching is done in small groups. These math stations will be used everyday, during our small group math time. I will use these as independent centers as well as teacher led centers. This is my first year at my current school, and even though I am in my 7th year of teaching, I don't have a variety of math centers and stations for my students. These math stations will help students review skills that we are learning, and once the skills are taught and we move on, students will be able to remember each skill, since they will practice daily. Since the stations are for grades 1-3, there will be activities for every child in my classroom, including higher, middle and lower level learners.
