My severely handicapped classroom has many sensory needs. The use of the trampoline and Z-vibe will help the students self-regulate and calm their bodies in order to focus and learn. Self-regulation strategies help students focus and be more attentive in learning. There is research that states that exercise helps students learn. The trampoline will provide quick in the classroom exercise that won't disrupt the classroom routines. The mainstreaming peers would also be able to promote appropriate role modeling. Some of the students have difficulty chewing so the use of the Z-vibe helps develop oral motor skills. This will promote the life-skill of eating.
