If my project is funded, all monies will go to outfitting my room with flexible seating options. This includes floor seats, back pillows, standing tables, bar stools and dorm chairs. Studies have shown that allowing students to find where they work best increases student engagement, learning, and classroom behavior. These students have a lot of choice taken from them. Flexible seating gives them a voice in their education and teaches them to advocate for themselves. Our program requires so many resources that funds are not readily available. As a new teacher, my personal funds are sparse. Any help is so appreciated!
