South Tech is a Title I school which means that it is mostly students of low income families. Even with this status, South Tech students are achieving higher rankings and scores than most schools in our district. The reason for this is because our students make a commitment to attend our school and strive to reach their goals. South Tech meets all the requirements for graduation while offering technical classes with state/national certifications. My students take the Certified EKG Technician exam and we currently have a 100% passing rate! The majority of my students are out at their bus stops in the dark in order to make the 7 A.M. bell. Their dedication to learning shows in their grades and attitudes!
