Cedar Hall Community School is an all-inclusive Pre-K through 8th grade school. In the mornings, I teach small guided reading groups for grades 1-5. In the afternoons, I teach a whole group first grade science class as well as a kindergarten science class. During science we focus on teaching from a STEAM curriculum. This means the lessons I teach relate to science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Students in my classes live in a low income neighborhood. Our school's population of free and reduced lunch is 96% of our student body. Our students are excited and motivated by new experiences and hands-on learning.
