Where do you work best? Do you get to choose your seating or is someone choosing it for you? What if you were told you must sit in a hard back chair for 6 to 7 hours a day? Would you be able to perform to your highest ability? I think not! But traditionally, this has been expected from our students. In order for our students to be completely engaged in what they are learning, they must be given flexible seating options, including Wobble chairs, balance balls and an activity table. Students must be allowed to choose an environment that enables engagement! Flexible seating provides an environment that is conducive to open collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
