Having a large rug will enhance our classroom culture. It will provide a safe, comfortable, and easily accessible spot for our morning meetings, as well as continued whole class instruction. For example, after the second morning bell has rung, we begin our morning meeting. During this time, we try to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows a sense of community and culture among our students. Hence, a large, cozy rug would greatly assist in creating that environment, as well as providing our students the structure needed to do so. Furthermore, using the mailboxes will also assist in providing great classroom management. These mailboxes will be used for each scholar to place their take-home folders in, each and every day. They will be clearly labeled, and easily accessible for the students to place their homework in or any take-home papers for that day.
