My students are very technologically savvy and need iPads to help them extend their learning possibilities. They love using the computer and the laptops to research, read, and pretty much do anything. The problem is that we only have 3 computers in our room of 18 kids. I will be uploading many different apps to the iPads to give my students more of a chance to learn. Also, we use the programs IStation, IReady, and AR for reading and math. Having these iPads would give the students more chances to earn points on these programs and build their math and reading fluency and skills.
I want my students to use these iPads and Learning Games to enrich their learning experiences and help them become 21st century learners. My goal is to upload as many learning apps as I can on the iPads to reach every single one of my students. Everyone learns differently and this would be a great opportunity for my students to be given a chance to learn the way they can.
My students also love math games from Lakeshore. It helps to enhance their learning of new math topics and makes learning fun for them. The learning products I am looking to buy will be used for interactive and collaborative learning. I will be able to use the easel for small group instruction and to hang anchor charts for learning. Also, the magnetic number line and graphing paper make it easier for me to teach math lessons to the students that involve using those items.
