Most seven to eight year olds are shy when speaking in front of their entire class. I am asking for a microphone to use for class presentations and projects. They are learning to justify their ideas and be able to verbalize their thoughts and thinking process. Students gain confidence sharing their thoughts with others. Everyone has a need to be heard and this will help give their voice a boost. Students will have multiple opportunities to utilize the microphone in a variety of settings. They will present group activities, as well as individual work. They will have a chance to showcase their writing as well as put their thoughts into words for all to hear.
