We are an inner city magnet elementary school in Raleigh, NC. We are a magnet elementary school, meaning we have a very diverse population. Our school participates in the single subject acceleration program in which students can test out of a math class. For this reason, I have two groups of students that I teach during a single class period. To accommodate this group, I have two designated areas in my room; one for my 4th grade group, one for my 5th grade group. This setup is beneficial for all students because it meets the learning needs of all students!
