My students learn best when they can have multi-sensory experiences to help them make meaningful connections with the texts. The books in my project are interesting, fun texts that give my students access to new learning through bright pictures and opportunities for extension into many areas. The tactile materials in my project will help my students to experience the curriculum with their hands. This learning opportunity is highly valuable to students with autism. The organizational materials in my project will help me to be as prepared and ready as I can be with my lessons so I can be present with my students.
