My classroom is full of brand new kindergartners. We are a title one school with 72% free and reduced population. Kindergarten is my favorite grade to teach because I get to witness so much growth. Some children have never held a pencil, but leave my classroom as writers and readers. It is the most rewarding grade to teach. I really get to see the fruits of my labor. I have a grandchild (pictured with me in my profile picture) who is starting kindergarten this year. It is my goal to make a lasting impression on the children who start in my class to create a happy and strong foundation for their educational journey. I treat my students as if they are my very own children and grandchildren. I am blessed to be a teacher. I love my job, and I know that God places each child in my room for His perfect reasoning.
