I have a classroom full of kids with the most creative ideas. Their curiosity has us constantly researching why something works the way it does or trying to figure out how to create something we need. Many of these materials are not things that these kids see on an everyday basis. We are going to create a Maker Space that will allow my students to discover the answers to many of their everyday questions about how and why their world works the way it does. It will also give them the tools to become inventors and see their ideas come to life. One of my girls said to me the other day, "When I grow up, I'm going to be a scientist." My first thought was, "Why wait until you grow up. Let's make that happen now!"
