Central City Cyberschool is a public charter school located in the middle of one of Milwaukee's poorest neighborhoods. All of our students come from the surrounding community. We use computer technology to help students learn to read, write, and solve math and science problems. Each student has a Chromebook available for daily use, Teachers spend 2 years with each group of students, "looping" with them, so relationships are built between students and teachers that last longer than the typical school year. I have been at C3 for 6 years teaching 5th and 6th grade math. My goal is to make learning math fun and exciting so that as students get older math is not a subject to be afraid of. I make sure that students have the basic building blocks necessary to be successful as they move into middle school, high school and beyond. I also like to stress how everything we do is connected and related.
