iPads are an incredible resource for struggling 5-7 year old readers! My students have access to a foundational literacy skills building program, but we have an aging few laptops that regularly freeze during their 15 minute blocks of access to their personalized literacy app. First graders sign in quickly and work efficiently on a touch screen iPad, with access to a wider variety of apps for practicing essential skills. With your donation of iPads and cases students will maximize independent learning time, and I will be able to use basic skills apps to model and practice skills in small group instruction. Students will also be able to do simple internet research for reading and writing projects!
