The equipment makes a difference in students' learning because through physical activity, students learn various skills they can implement throughout their education. The equipment will include the use of outdoor designated areas for fitness skills that will improve students' movement patterns, gross motor, listening, manipulative, and social skills, which will result in promoting and establishing a healthy and fit school environment and ultimately help meet the criteria for the 5th grade physical fitness test (PFT/fitness gram).
The equipment will not only help decrease health risks and improve quality of life, but I hope that in turn it can influence the school community and surrounding areas. The students will be using the equipment requested such as the physical education pack and toss and catch paddle game set to learn and practice motor skills such as dribbling, catching, batting, throwing, and kicking. Not only will the students be learning new skills but the opportunities to play with such equipment will provide students with an environment full engagement, cooperation and fun!
