The incredible books that are being asked for are targeting social and emotional issues students are facing. This past year and a half has taken a toll on our students both academically, mentally, and socially so it's my goal to ensure my students have mentor texts that we can use to then discuss our feelings. I want our classroom to be a community where we can discuss fears, happiness, worries, etc. and we can come together to help one another. Books are always my go-to so having these to use for social and emotional topics will be extremely helpful! Thank you!
