At the moment, my students do not have access to iPads or any current technology. These students are high achievers and gifted students. They are falling behind their same-aged peers who have current technology available to them. Students in my class only have access to old Mac laptops that do not have or cannot support current upgrades. Whenever we do projects, students use poster boards to present them. Having access to up-to-date technology will allow my students to have experience using and creating projects like slide shows. Students will use iPads to complete classroom lessons and activities to enhance learning. They will use these iPads to complete individual and group research projects. Having iPads will allow students to collaborate on assignments in class and remotely. iPads will allow students to verbalize their ideas and understandings by giving them the opportunity to interact with the teacher and lessons. For example, students will use tools like Kahoot to demonstrate their understanding of lessons taught and get immediate feedback on their performance.
