With me being a first year teacher, I am ready to transform my classroom to make it a colorful, interactive, positive environment for all my students. I will be teaching students with disabilities that include: cerebral palsy, vision impairments, developmental delays, and various learning disabilities. Having materials and resources that can help challenge and motivate them to learn is key for me. While some students will practice basic sight words and begin to read, others will identify colors, letters, and shapes when completing various puzzles. Students will also count out objects to understand the concepts of adding or subtracting. Having visuals and hands-on materials will help my students comprehend what I am teaching on a daily basis.
