My students face several life circumstances that keep them from reaching their full potential. Handling transitions of divorce, meeting their basic needs, homelessness, foster care, and single family homes are just a few. The students are eager to learn and apply what their knowledge. School is the primary place where they can have access to different resources they need to improve and have a brighter future. There are so many great digital programs that complement our math program that I have incorporated into the curriculum but we are in need of Chromebooks to ensure each student has the opportunity to practice the recommended time during the week. If we could get the Chromebooks, we could not just practice math skills, we could also use it for other subjects like reading and science.
