These materials will help my kids want to read. Most of the books that are in our classroom library are dated. I want my students to have access to popular new titles to encourage and motivate them to read. I hope this will help them build a life-long love or reading! This will also help them when they are required to do independent reading in class. By having new books, I'm hoping the kids will be able to relate to the newer titles and have their interest in reading piqued. I also want these materials so my students will be exposed to a variety of texts.
