My teammates and I attended "Get Your Teach On" Conference in October and learned about great ways to get our students engaged in their learning. We are excited to put these strategies and activities into action for our students. We have engaged our students more, but would love to increase the impact with the use of blacklights and fluorescent materials for a fun room transformation. Using tools from this project, students will be motivated to delve into deeper understand of what they read. Simply putting on fun glasses can help students to reread passages for main ideas and details. We can use the glasses to be detectives or journalists. This project will be shared with our grade level and reach 102 students this year with the hope of using it for future 2nd graders as well.
