My thirty students are of different socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds and come from a wide variety of cultures. We live in a farming community, have a prison in our town, and have several large wind-energy and cement businesses in our area. Our school just made the California Distinguished Schools list this past year, as the students and staff and parents have worked very hard on academics. We also work to teach our students good citizenship skills with the "Character Counts" program.
