I have students who come into the classroom with an elementary level of understanding in math. This technology will help my students relate what is taught to their real life experiences and find the purpose of education. Technology is always a sure way to keep them interested. Our textbook has online resources for them to use daily for understanding as well as assessments. There are several free online resources to help with basic number sense, which is my students greatest struggle. Students will be able to connect their tablets to their calculators for a more concrete understanding of algebra. Tablets would also be a great resource for my advanced students that pick up on new concepts really quickly. This would be great for students with poor attendance. This will give my students the option of staying connected.
